This Polish stoneware originated as folk art in the early
1800s. Today in the small village of Boleslawiec, over 200 skilled craftsmen individually hand craft and hand paint each piece of pottery using a hand stamping
technique and free-hand design. Each piece is unique,
and no two pieces are alike.
Created of white clay, this stoneware is lead and cadmium free. Fired at 3,000 degrees, it is very durable, impervious to
abrasives, and will not crack or chip easily. It is dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. Do not out over open flames or
place in the oven directly from the freezer. As stoneware,
rapid temperature change may cause it to crack.
