Polish glass ornaments have a very old tradition for quality, design, artistic imagination, and craftsmanship. Mouthblown and handdecorated, they are very delicate art treasures.
Known as bombki, the ornaments are also a collector's item. The beginnings of the production of Christmas ornaments dates back to 1847. The first glass balls were made in Lauscha, Germany by Hans Greiner. The first Christmas tree ornaments appeared in Poland in the nineteenth century. Nowadays Poland is the largest producer of handmade glass balls in the world.
